Auctions by JNL is continuing to get the service offerings up to speed and the owners John and LisaMarie Palinkas are proud to announce that they recently began their studies with The Asheford Institute of Antiques.
This course will certify the staff of Auctions by JNL to perform Personal Property Appraisals utilizing the Professional Appraisers Code of Conduct.
The academic standards are rigorous and
consists of over ninety-five equivalent class credit hours.
The Asheford program is a professional-level course on the study of antiques, collectibles and appraising. Created in 1966, by school founder Peter C. Green. With it's emphasis on excellence in learning, training and innovative approaches to teaching, it has become one of the premiere schools in the development of distance learning education that is geared specifically towards successful entrepreneurship. The student body is comprised mainly of individuals who are actively seeking employment or self-employment within the field of antiques, collectibles and appraising.
The appraisal section of the program is so comprehensive because the core training principles that are taught throughout the Asheford Course are focused specifically on appraising-each topic, heading, and subheading is explained with an eye to it's related connection to the world of appraising. These links of connectivity run throughout all five Plans of Study. The appraising component of the Asheford Program was designed for those that wish to pursue appraising on a professional level. The A.I.A. offers all the necessary tools to know and understand antiques and collectibles in regard to appraising them. The final Plan of Study is in depth knowledge to learn the methodology of appraising, and how to apply this to the product knowledge. There is a separate Appraisal Exam that all students must take in order to be considered for certification.
